THE ZOMBIE HORROR PICTURE SHOW...They LIVE for kicks, LOVE for kicks, they KILL for kicks

This concert dvd came out last month on May 19th and features Rob Zombie and his awesome band performing live in Dallas, Texas. I'm a huge music person and love going to concerts but I really hate when a singer or group sound completely different live from how they sound on their album. That isn't the case here. I've seen Rob Zombie in concert before and his shows are always amazing. This live show definitely proves it also. Throughout the dvd, you catch gritty-style black and white behind the scene action, not just at the beginning before they go on stage but throughout the concert as well. On the the dvd there is also an impressive photo gallery to check out. I really enjoyed Zombie's concert for a few reasons. The main reason is that Rob not just sings his most recent songs but also includes songs from his first band "White Zombie," such as "Thunderkiss 65," popular songs from "Hellbilly Deluxe" and "The Sinister Urge" such as "Meet the Creeper" and "Never Gonna Stop," and even songs from "House of 1000 Corpses" and "Lords of Salem." I wish he would have performed more songs from his album, "Educated Horses," but that's just me being picky. The only thing I didn't care for on "The Zombie Horror Picture Show," were how a lot of the girls there decided to start stripping in the audience during the performance. I'm not talking about just flashing the band, I'm talking about full on nudity. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting naked (not during a concert usually) but you could tell that these girls were just doing it because they saw the video monitors and the cameras and wanted attention. They were just annoying to me and seemed more interested in being filmed than actually listening and enjoying the show. I love and really appreciate the fact that Rob Zombie can put on a show where he and his band dress up in their zombie and monster gear, have cool and spooky props on stage, and have awesome video clips on the screen behind them, and it still doesn't take away from the pure rawness of their singing and performing which happens a lot with other bands performing live. I absolutely recommend this dvd to everyone. There are two last things I wanted to share about this dvd. First one is that I want to steal and wear Rob's pants that he performs in. They are absolutely bad ass and spooky cool. The final thing is that even if you're not a fan of Rob Zombie's films or other projects (which I personally don't see how you can't like them,) you can still enjoy a truly amazing show!
