RAIDING SPOOKY'S CLOSET

As I mentioned in the last post, here is my fabulous purple and silver bat bandanna halter top from Spooky's Closet! I absolutely love it and is so sexy and comfortable at the same time. BIG THANK YOU TO SPOOKY!

CLOTHING FROM SPOOKY'S CLOSET

Ok today's blog is about my new cool friend Spooky, her amazing Etsy shop and all the amazing bad ass clothing she creates and design.

I met Spooky on Etsy when I was looking for some custom made clothing pieces. I love buying custom clothes and jewelry because I know I'm getting one of a kind pieces that are unique and that I can have some input on how I want something made. I came across Spooky's shop and instantly fell in love. Her and I started chatting online because I had seen a dress on her site that I wanted but had already sold. (That's how cool her stuff is) All her other clothing was so amazing that it was hard for me to choose which one I wanted until she mentioned to me that if there was something I specifically wanted that wasn't already posted, she could custom make it for me. Instantly I was hooked. Right now, Spooky is beginning to create my custom horror dress which I'm so excited about, but don't want to tell you exactly what it is yet until I get so I can surprise everyone. I did recently just place another order with her and received it last night so I can definitely vouch for the great quality of her work and design.

Here is a little testimonial from Spooky on how she got started and here idea and concept behind her shop:

"I started making my own clothing in a desperate attempt to find something I liked to wear. Lets face it, unless you want to wear an over-sized men's t shirt, there's not much for us girls to choose from. I wanted to look girly and pretty while showing the horror and bands that I like. I'm a hard core horror fan and Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. So I just started out making patterns and designing clothing for girls, so we can wear what we like with a twist to it! Using the men's t shirts, I can design a really cute top or dress, that any horror vixen would love to wear. My clothing is perfect for your "walk on the wilder side!"

I agree with Spooky, 100%. While I love my concert and big horror shirts, it's always nice to have something made to flatter and fit your body. With her creations, you always get that. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. Here is the link to Spooky's Closet an d photos of just some of her clothes so definitely check out her full store when you can. The piece I just ordered is one of her bandanna halter tops that is a beautiful purple and silver color to it with a cute bat pattern. I'll be posting a photo of me wearing it in the next article but like I said again, the construction and quality of the top is perfect and is very flattering and I don't have to worry about it shredding to pieces or falling off of me. I can't wait for my sexy custom dress to wear and show off to the world. A big thank you to Spooky and here is the link to her store. Enjoy!!!

THE ZOMBIE HORROR PICTURE SHOW...They LIVE for kicks, LOVE for kicks, they KILL for kicks

This concert dvd came out last month on May 19th and features Rob Zombie and his awesome band performing live in Dallas, Texas. I'm a huge music person and love going to concerts but I really hate when a singer or group sound completely different live from how they sound on their album. That isn't the case here. I've seen Rob Zombie in concert before and his shows are always amazing. This live show definitely proves it also. Throughout the dvd, you catch gritty-style black and white behind the scene action, not just at the beginning before they go on stage but throughout the concert as well. On the the dvd there is also an impressive photo gallery to check out. I really enjoyed Zombie's concert for a few reasons. The main reason is that Rob not just sings his most recent songs but also includes songs from his first band "White Zombie," such as "Thunderkiss 65," popular songs from "Hellbilly Deluxe" and "The Sinister Urge" such as "Meet the Creeper" and "Never Gonna Stop," and even songs from "House of 1000 Corpses" and "Lords of Salem." I wish he would have performed more songs from his album, "Educated Horses," but that's just me being picky. The only thing I didn't care for on "The Zombie Horror Picture Show," were how a lot of the girls there decided to start stripping in the audience during the performance. I'm not talking about just flashing the band, I'm talking about full on nudity. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting naked (not during a concert usually) but you could tell that these girls were just doing it because they saw the video monitors and the cameras and wanted attention. They were just annoying to me and seemed more interested in being filmed than actually listening and enjoying the show. I love and really appreciate the fact that Rob Zombie can put on a show where he and his band dress up in their zombie and monster gear, have cool and spooky props on stage, and have awesome video clips on the screen behind them, and it still doesn't take away from the pure rawness of their singing and performing which happens a lot with other bands performing live. I absolutely recommend this dvd to everyone. There are two last things I wanted to share about this dvd. First one is that I want to steal and wear Rob's pants that he performs in. They are absolutely bad ass and spooky cool. The final thing is that even if you're not a fan of Rob Zombie's films or other projects (which I personally don't see how you can't like them,) you can still enjoy a truly amazing show!

DAHMER

Jeremy Renner is one of my all time favorite actors and I love the fact that his 2nd movie was "Dahmer," in the starring role. The movie came out in 2002 and is directed by David Jacobson. I really like how the movie didn't just show a serial killer killing people. In the version, you a glimpse into Jeffrey Dahmer's past and what contributed to him becoming the crazy sick man he turned into. The "present" of the film runs in chronological order covering the period of one-to-two days; the flashbacks go in reverse order, so that Dahmer is seen as successively younger until the movie arrives at his first murder and its aftermath. Now I'm not saying his childhood or social skills made him into a killer, but it definitely didn't help. I definitely recommend this movie for a few reasons. Not only is the story good and goes back and forth from his past to the present time in the film, Jeremy Renner did some amazing actor in it. He's very raw and dark as his character that you are definitely convinced he is Jeffrey Dahmer. All the acting is brilliant. Bruce Davison, another great actor, plays his father and is also good in it.
