THE EVIL EYE

Today to my surprise, I received a wonderful and wonderful post from my friend and fellow horror lover, "SCREAMQUEENARMY aka Chris Dunlop. "

I enjoy writing and talking to him about anything and everything. He is a very sweet friend to me and I've haven't back ever 2015.

I enjoy his visions guest reviews on horror flicks and writing. This one is called, "THE EVIL EYE." It's about the God Father of Gore and can also be seen at http://theevileyeuk.blogspot.com Review: Horror Documentary - Starring Herschell Gordon Lewis. Produced by Mike Vraney and Jimmy Maslon. Directed by Frank Henenlotter and Jimmy Maslon. Take an outrageous ride through the wild world of exploitation films with this often hilarious documentary, featuring interviews with cast, crew, and critics such as Director John Waters, drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs and of course...Herschell Gordon Lewis himself. The documentary traces Lewis' start in the innocent bare-naked world of "Nudie-Cuties" before he shocked the world with "Blood Feast" Lewis then continues to assault audiences with such audacious shockers as She-Devils On Wheels, Blast-Off Girls, Just for the Hell of it, Two Thousand Maniacs!, The Gruesome Twosome, The Gore Gore Girls, and the incredible Wizard of Gore! Get ready to experience a decade of motion-picture madness - with tons of clips, rare out-takes, and testimony from the people who were there - as Herschell Gordon Lewis, The Godfather of Gore leaves you laughing and screaming at some of the most amazing movies to ever play American movie theatres!
The DVD release includes over an hour of deleted scenes, H.G.Lewis trailer reel!, rare Lewis Short: Hot Night at the Go-Go Lounge! and a gallery of H.G.Lewis exploitation art. I thoroughly enjoyed this documentary and I know you will too. If you're a fan of Herschell Gordon Lewis, horror, exploitation, gore, horror documentaries or you just want to learn more, then I suggest you see this wonderful documentary as soon as possible. BIG THANK YOU'S TO CHRIS DUNLOP AND THE VERY COOL STIE, "THE EVIL EYE."
